Profile

Considered the most impressive surgeon of his generation, Dr Lai J. B. is an MOH accredited Senior Consultant Specialist Facial Reconstructive Surgeon at A.D.S Clinic – the only leading aesthetic and facial plastic center which employs a team of internationally trained specialists and surgeons with over 60 years of experience in private practice. He is a highly experienced senior consultant surgeon who performs the most chin liposuction, face slimming, eyebag, upper eyelid and ear plastic surgery procedures in Singapore. Dr Lai is also one of the few specialist surgeons in Singapore accredited to perform the Facetite® & Accutite® face & neck lift procedure.

 

He graduated from National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2000 during which he received numerous awards (Dean’s List, Singapore Dental Association Bronze Medal, Gold Medal for Best in Clinical Dentistry). Thereafter, he completed his Masters in Maxillofacial Surgery and obtained Fellowships of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and Academy of Medicine, Singapore. Thereafter, he completed his Masters in Maxillofacial Surgery and obtained Fellowships of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and Academy of Medicine, Singapore. Subsequently Dr Lai also trained at the prestigious American Academy Of Cosmetic Surgery and received accreditation in facial plastic surgery.

Prior to his transition to private practice, Dr Lai Juen Bin was a senior consultant and clinical assistant professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, National Dental Centre Singapore where he was involved in postgraduate OMS training. He was awarded by the Ministry of Health, Singapore for Advanced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training in the US and was made Adjunct Professor at the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, University of Alabama, Birmingham, USA in 2008-2009.

He was the head of department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Changi General Hospital from 2013 to 2020. He was also the director, CGH clinical service of SingHealth, Duke-NUS, ORH-ACP from 2013 to 2020 and was instrumental in the development of the NDCS Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic @ Changi General Hospital. He was the core member of the multi-specialty integrated facial reconstruction service and obstructive sleep service workgroup in Changi General Hospital. Dr Lai sat in the National Dental Specialist Accreditation Board for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in 2014-2016.

As a firm believer of positive patient experience, he thrives to empathise with patients and provide quality clinical care. Dr Lai was awarded the Singapore Health Quality Service 2022 Gold award.
